The focus this week is networking. Building relationships of trust between you and those you want to do business with – both vendors and customers.

Donna Messer is known in Canada as The Queen of Networking and she wears the crown well. Next up is the amazing Katia Millar who is the founder of Positive Fabulous Women, a network of over 8,000 women. And finally you’ll hear from Yvette Nechvatal-Drew, director of our local chapter of Girls Inc. Volunteering is a great way to network so hear why she’s so passionate about her organization. You might want to get involved.

Did you realise that being perceived as someone that can be trusted directly impacts your bottom line? There are 4 elements that are necessary to creating trust: integrity, intent, capability and results. I’m recommending one of my favorite books this week to go with the theme of networking.

Get yourself a copy of The SPEED of Trust: The One Thing that Changes Everything and read it right away.  If you already have it, re-read it. You’ll soon realise it’s not just about business but your whole life. Because you can’t walk the talk in just one area of your life if you want to be known as person of integrity.

Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. — Albert Einstein
